Yves Richer – Bass
Yves first picked up a bass in ‘93 to form a metal band with friends with common interests in Metallica (the ’80s era) and Black Sabbath. Noticing his lack of knowledge in bass playing, Yves quickly discovered Donald Prince (Nathan Mahl, Spyral Jones) who quickly took him under his wing to teach him the bass fundamentals.
Discovery of Dream Theater influenced a new musical direction and helped form prog band Momentarily Spontaneous in 1993 (thanks to the Awake album). After 6 years and one studio album, Momentarily Spontaneous disbanded which left a 4 year musical break until meeting with fellow members of Widow’s Walk.
