Rick Barkhouse – Keyboards

Rick started playing piano at the age of six, but it wasn’t until junior high school that he started playing in local bands, learning to play rock keyboards from the likes of Deep Purple, Rush and Styx. High school Jazz Band also helped to form his keyboard style.

Soon after leaving Nova Scotia (and the successful melodic metal band Prozac) for Ottawa, Rick answered an ad to play keyboards in local metal act Shadow Of Doubt. A few years later he accepted an invitation to play in Quivertwist, an instrumental, groove-based quartet. Rick also previously fulfilled the keyboard duties in the Dream Theater tribute act Crimson Sunset. Rick joined forces with Roger and Tristan in early 2003.
